Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
The short version: Ledgr doesn't collect any of your data. What you enter stays on your devices and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud account. The developer has no servers and can't see it. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
This policy explains how the Ledgr app for iPhone and iPad ("Ledgr", "the app") handles your information. Ledgr is made by Szymon Sikora ("I", "me").
Information you enter
Ledgr stores the things you add to it, such as bills, due dates, amounts, payments, accounts, balances, budgets, transactions, categories, tags, notes, receipt photos and documents, household member names and an optional profile photo. This information is used only to run the app's features for you.
It's stored:
- On your device, in the app's private storage.
- In your iCloud account, if you turn on iCloud sync, so it can sync between your own devices. This uses Apple's CloudKit service and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. I can't access your iCloud data.
Household sharing
If you create or join a household, the bills, payments and accounts you share are stored in iCloud and are visible to, and editable by, the other members of that household. Members are identified by the names they enter and by their iCloud identity as provided by Apple. You can leave a household or stop sharing at any time from Settings › iCloud & Sharing.
Information I collect
None. Ledgr has no developer servers, no accounts and no sign-in. It doesn't include any analytics, advertising or tracking software, and it doesn't share or sell data with anyone.
Permissions
Ledgr asks for these permissions only when you use the related feature, and each can be turned off in the iOS Settings app:
- Notifications, to remind you about bills. Reminders are scheduled on your device.
- Calendars, to add your bill due dates to your calendar if you turn on calendar sync, and keep those events up to date.
- Camera and Photos, to attach receipt photos and documents to bills, and to set a profile photo.
- Face ID or Touch ID, to lock the app. Biometric checks are handled entirely by iOS, and Ledgr never sees your biometric data.
On-device intelligence
On supported devices, Ledgr can suggest a category for a bill using Apple's on-device foundation model. This runs on your device, and the text isn't sent to me or anyone else.
Exports and backups
You can export your data from Settings › Export & Import, either as a regular file or encrypted with a passphrase you choose. Exported files go wherever you save or send them, and you're responsible for keeping them safe. If you forget the passphrase for an encrypted backup, it can't be recovered.
Contacting support
If you email me for support, I'll receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. When you use Settings › Contact Support in the app, you can choose to include diagnostics: your app version, device model, iOS version, sync status, how many of each kind of item you have and, if you choose, a log of recent app activity with personal details hidden. Diagnostics never include amounts, names, notes or bill details, and you can preview everything before it's sent. I use this information only to help you and won't share it.
Deleting your data
You can delete your data at any time with Settings › Reset Ledgr, or by deleting the app. To remove data synced to iCloud, delete it in the app while sync is on, or manage Ledgr's iCloud storage in the iOS Settings app under your Apple Account › iCloud.
Children
Ledgr isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
